ABC fire extinguishers use mono ammonium phosphate (MAP) dry chemical powder effective against Class A (ordinary combustibles), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (electrical) fires. They are the most versatile and widely used portable extinguishers for offices, factories, vehicles, and residential buildings. Rachna Fire & Safety supplies ISI-marked ABC extinguishers in stored-pressure configurations from 1 kg to 50 kg across Kutch and Gujarat.
Available Sizes
- 1 kg — vehicles and small kitchens
- 2 kg — home and small office
- 4 kg — standard office and shop
- 6 kg — commercial and industrial (most common)
- 9 kg — larger floor areas and workshops
- 25 kg and 50 kg — industrial trolley-mounted units
How ABC Extinguishers Work
When discharged, the powder creates a chemical reaction that interrupts the fire triangle—removing heat and separating fuel from oxygen. The powder also melts to form a barrier on burning solids, preventing re-ignition. ABC units are effective but leave residue, so they are not ideal for server rooms or food preparation areas where clean agent alternatives are preferred.
Placement & Maintenance
Mount extinguishers at 1.0–1.5m height on walls along escape routes, near exits, and in kitchens and electrical rooms. We provide installation, annual servicing, refilling after use, and pressure testing with compliance tags.
